A common objection to Christianity sounds something like, "I cannot believe in a God that would..." Essentially, the resistance is, "if He doesn't do what I think He should do, then He can't possibly be real." That perspective, however, makes God bend to our design, instead of the other way around. Oddly enough, in the earliest days of the Church, even God's followers had a hard time wrapping their minds around a new thing God was doing. Lucky for us, God did not limit His working to the approval of those who were already His people. Which may beg the question, where would we limit God if He chose to cave to our musings?
