It would make complete sense that things would change days before the day that changed everything. The somewhat clandestine nature of Jesus' ministry up to Holy Week was no more following His entry into Jerusalem. He enters heralded as a champion by the masses, and later that week is made a public spectacle through his trial and crucifixion. Everything changed because everything was changing.
